Wastewater Treatment and Their Application Scenarios – PAM, PAC, Defoamer

Application Scenarios

Sewage Treatment Plants

For flocculation, sedimentation, sludge dewatering and defoaming using PAM and PAC. Effectively removes suspended solids, reduces COD and turbidity to meet discharge standards, a key part of sewage treatment plant chemical solutions.

Printing & Dyeing Industry

Great for decolorization and flocculation treatment of printing and dyeing wastewater with PAM and PAC. Controls foam with defoamer and removes dyes, colloids and organic pollutants, optimizing printing & dyeing wastewater treatment efficiency.

Papermaking Industry

Used for white water purification, fiber retention, paper strengthening and defoaming in papermaking industry. Industrial starch and PAM improve paper quality and reduce wastewater discharge, cutting papermaking industry wastewater treatment costs.

Industrial Wastewater Treatment

Provides efficient flocculation and sedimentation for various industrial wastewater using PAM and PAC. Controls foam with defoamer and helps remove impurities to meet industrial wastewater treatment requirements, ensuring compliance.

Urban Sewage Treatment

Purifies domestic sewage through flocculation, sludge dewatering and biochemical support with PAM, PAC and industrial starch. Stable performance in turbidity removal and pollutant reduction for urban sewage treatment systems.

Introduction to Common Chemical Agents

Polyacrylamide (PAM)

Polyacrylamide (PAM) is a high-efficiency flocculant for wastewater treatment, which agglomerates fine suspended solids into clusters for rapid sludge-water separation. It is widely used in sewage treatment plants, papermaking, printing and dyeing, and industrial wastewater treatment, helping with sludge dewatering and COD reduction, a core chemical for wastewater purification.

Polyaluminum Chloride (PAC)

Polyaluminum Chloride (PAC) is a mainstream inorganic flocculant for wastewater treatment that quickly forms flocs to remove suspended solids, colloids and part of phosphorus. It is suitable for various sewage and wastewater pretreatment, with excellent decolorization and turbidity reduction effects, widely used in urban and industrial wastewater treatment.

Defoamer

Defoamer is an essential chemical for wastewater treatment and industrial production, which suppresses foam generated in various treatment processes and production links, preventing sludge runoff, overflow and affecting equipment operation. It is essential in sewage treatment plants, papermaking and printing & dyeing industries for stable operation.

Industrial Starch

Industrial starch is a multi-purpose chemical for papermaking and wastewater treatment. In papermaking, it enhances paper strength, improves sizing effect and fiber retention. In sewage biochemical treatment, it can be used as a supplementary carbon source to promote microbial growth and pollutant degradation, supporting efficient wastewater treatment.
