Product Introduction

Sulfonated Phenolic Resin (SMP) is a high-performance water-based drilling fluid additive primarily used in medium-to-high-temperature drilling fluid systems to control fluid loss, stabilize rheological properties, and improve overall mud performance. The product exhibits excellent resistance to high temperatures, salt, calcium, and contaminants, maintaining stable performance in high-temperature/high-pressure (HTHP) wells, deep wells, ultra-deep wells, and complex geological formations.

SMP effectively reduces drilling fluid loss and filtrate invasion into the formation, forms a dense filter cake to stabilize the wellbore, and enhances rheological stability under high-temperature conditions. It is highly compatible with other additives—such as PAC, PHPA, modified starch, and sulfonated lignite—making it suitable for a wide range of water-based drilling fluid systems.

Manufactured by Jinxiang Chemical using a mature production process, this SMP product withstands temperatures up to 160°C and offers consistent quality, meeting the technical requirements of both domestic and international oilfields and drilling service companies.
