Polyanionic Cellulose (PAC) for Drilling Fluids

Product Introduction

Polyanionic Cellulose (PAC) is a high-performance, water-soluble cellulose polymer offering excellent fluid loss control, viscosifying capabilities, wellbore protection, and suspension properties. It effectively enhances drilling fluid stability, minimizes filtrate invasion, maintains wellbore integrity, and reduces the risk of downhole complications.

This product exhibits excellent resistance to salt and calcium, as well as superior thermal stability, maintaining consistent performance in fresh water, seawater, and high-salinity drilling fluid systems. It is suitable for complex geological formations and diverse drilling environments. Jinxiang Chemical offers two grades—Low Viscosity (PAC-LV) and High Viscosity (PAC-HV)—to meet specific rheological and fluid loss control requirements across various drilling conditions.

FAQ

What is the difference between PAC-LV and PAC-HV?

PAC-LV is primarily used for fluid loss control and has minimal impact on drilling fluid viscosity; PAC-HV serves both to increase viscosity and control fluid loss, significantly improving the rheological properties of the drilling fluid.

Is PAC suitable for high-salinity drilling fluids?

Yes. PAC exhibits excellent salt and calcium tolerance, making it suitable for use in fresh water, seawater, and high-salinity drilling fluid systems.

For which types of wells is PAC suitable?

It is suitable for a wide range of drilling operations, including conventional wells, horizontal wells, directional wells, deep wells, and drilling in complex formations.
